Atop the Temple: Theme, Graphics and Sound

The art style is realistic with a slightly dark and gritty twist. Two monuments stand watch over the grid on either side, and beams of light shine down behind the stone altar, with specks of dust drifting to the ground.

The audio is orchestral. When a stone tile breaks you hear the detail, when the game sits idle you can hear crows cawing overhead, and winning combinations bring triumphant music. The animations are subtle but effective, and the impact of cracking tiles comes across well.

Crests, Emblems and Paytable Symbols

Nine common paying symbols can land on the grid. There are also blockers that need to be destroyed, and special symbols to help you along.

The low-paying symbols are playing card suits: a red diamond, a green diamond, a blue club, a bronze spade and a yellow heart. They are all of equal value, so it does not matter which one forms a win.

The high-paying symbols come from Templar legend: a sacred tree, a griffin, a lion and a crusader helm. The helm is the highest-paying common symbol. The Holy Grail is the Scatter. Whenever it lands it is collected and the symbol is destroyed, and collecting three activates the bonus spins.

The Templar’s Treasure: Orbs, Bonus Spins and Jackpots

On either side of the guardian statues, the swords hold an orb: blue on the left and red on the right. Coloured tiles appear at random on the grid, and breaking them by forming a win fills the matching meter by one point. The meters reset on each new spin.

• Blue orb: fill it with 5 points and you get a win multiplier on the amount won. Each consecutive fill raises the multiplier by 1.
• Red orb: fill it with 5 points and 2 mystery symbols are added to the grid. They can reveal any paying symbol or a coin icon, and coins award a prize of 1x to 100x the current bet. Each consecutive fill adds 2 more symbols.

Collecting 3 Scatters triggers the bonus spins and awards 10 of them. During the feature, both the multiplier and the mystery symbol feature are awarded at the end of each spin, and progress between the two does not reset on each new spin. Each Scatter that lands during the bonus adds 1 spin.

The jackpot spin can trigger at random and is played as an extra spin before the normal one. On it, only blockers and DD symbols can appear on the grid. Land 6 DD symbols and you reach the Dream Drop stage.

In the Dream Drop stage there are 5 jackpots to win: Rapid, Midi, Maxi, Major and Mega. Only blockers and DD symbols can land, the DD symbols stay in place and the blockers are removed on each spin. Spins continue until one reel fills with DD symbols, and the first reel to fill awards its jackpot.
