Ramses’ Revenge Online Slot By Relax Gaming

Ramses’ Revenge is an Egyptian-themed video slot from Relax Gaming on a 6-reel, 4-row grid with 4,096 ways to win and a theoretical RTP of 96.15%. Mummy wilds chase explorers in the bonus spins, and a Mystery Sandstorm can turn symbols into scarabs. Here are the specs, symbols and features.

Ramses awaits any brave explorer willing to enter his tomb in search of wealth, but there are plenty of perils on the way. You will have to brave sandstorms and outrun mummies to make it out with a prize.

Ramses’ Revenge Specs

RTP is a theoretical, long-run figure that says nothing certain about a single session. Read more in our guide to what RTP means.

Egyptian Tomb Theme, Graphics and Sound

The play grid sits inside an ancient tomb, presumably Ramses’ own. The light-hearted, almost cartoon-like art style shows that the game does not take itself too seriously, and the pots and stone tablets scattered about suggest you are not the first explorer to pass through.

The soundtrack is eerie and mysterious and builds a tense atmosphere, while the sound effects are well placed. The symbols are relatively small, but they carry a fair amount of detail, and everything from the sandstorms to the winning animations moves smoothly.

Symbols and Paytable Basics

The low-paying symbols are four worn stone hieroglyphics, each in its own colour: orange, red, green and blue. The higher-paying icons are gods such as Ra, Sobek and Anubis, and the highest-paying symbol is Ramses’ sarcophagus.

The Wild is a mummy. It substitutes for any other icon and plays a unique role in some of the bonus features. The Free Spins symbol is the explorer, who also has a part to play during the bonus.

Bonus Spins with Multipliers

Land two of the explorer symbols in a spin and you receive 6 bonus spins. During these spins, mummy wilds appear on the reels in the positions where the explorers were. Mummies do not move unless another explorer lands, and then they chase him down. When a mummy catches an explorer, you get an additional spin and that mummy’s multiplier goes up by 1.

Mystery Sandstorm and Transforming Icons

The Mystery Sandstorm blows through at random. When it does, 2 – 6 gusts of wind change 1 – 4 symbols per gust into scarabs. After the spin, all of the scarabs transform into the same symbol, which can result in big wins.

Our Verdict

The Egyptian theme is not the most unusual, but the chasing mummies and the sandstorm feature give Ramses’ Revenge its own character. It suits players who like a tense atmosphere and a bonus round with a clear mechanic.
