How To Buy, Deposit And Withdraw Using Bitcoin
You might be thinking that setting up a cryptocurrency account for online gaming is something only technology experts can manage, but anyone can do it, and it does not take long.
We created a step by step guide to help you get started with Bitcoin. Watch our video below:
Getting Set Up With Bitcoin
Step 1:
When getting started with any cryptocurrency, the first thing to do is choose a crypto wallet. A wallet stores your cryptocurrency and also lets you buy, sell and send it. There are hundreds of wallets available, each with its own features, so it is worth taking a little time to compare them.
The official Bitcoin website has an easy to use tool that lets you view wallets and see which ones may suit your needs.
We suggest choosing a wallet that works for South Africans. Most wallets come with a mobile app for easy, on the go access. For this article we used Luno, a cryptocurrency platform that allows South Africans to buy, sell and store Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and more.
Step 2:
When you have chosen your wallet you will need to load funds onto it. This is usually done through bank transfer or alternatively instant EFT, depending on what your provider offers.
Step 3:
Once your wallet is funded, you can buy the cryptocurrency you want. Most online casinos that accept crypto support Bitcoin, so it is the usual choice for a first purchase. Check which coins your chosen casino accepts before you buy.
Making Your First Deposit Using Bitcoin
Once your wallet is set up and you have bought some Bitcoin, you are ready to make your first deposit. Below is a step by step guide. For this tutorial we used the Luno crypto wallet and Yebo Casino to make our Bitcoin deposit.
Step 1:
For an easy deposit using Bitcoin we recommend that you have your mobile phone and your crypto wallet handy, as we used the QR code payment function to make our first deposit.
With some wallets you can top up, buy and sell Bitcoin straight away, but to actually pay with Bitcoin you may need to request that the sending feature is switched on.
When we tested it with the Luno app, we logged in and tapped “Send”. Luno asked whether we wanted to enable the feature and we said “yes”. At the time, Luno told us it could take up to 24 hours to process and enable the function, so do this well before you plan to deposit.
Step 2:
Once Send is enabled on your app, head to your casino of choice to make your deposit, in this case Yebo Casino. Log in to your Yebo Casino player account and go to the “Cashier” section, where you can choose the deposit method you want to use.
Step 3:
From the deposit method options, scroll down until you find Bitcoin and select it. You can then enter the amount you would like to deposit. At Yebo Casino the minimum deposit is now R100.
Step 4:
For this step you will need your mobile phone and your Luno app open. On the casino side you will be shown a unique payment address and a unique QR code. You can use either, but we found the QR code easiest.
Go into your Luno app and select “Send”. The app asks where you would like to send Bitcoin. You can enter the Bitcoin address, or tap the small QR code icon in the top right hand corner of the app, which opens your phone’s camera so you can scan the QR code on the casino deposit page.
The app then registers the payment and asks how much you would like to send. It also asks if you would like to add a reference.
Step 5:
This is the final step. Once you confirm the payment, Luno sent us an SMS to authorise it when we tested it, and once we authorised the payment the casino processed it. Most transactions are credited to your account within about 10 minutes of submission, but this can vary with the network fee you choose and how busy the Bitcoin network is.
Monitoring Your Balance
You can keep track of your Bitcoin balance in the Luno app. It shows all the cryptocurrencies that you currently own and how their markets are doing. If Bitcoin is a route you are considering, a wallet app like this makes it easy to see what you hold.
Some Things to Keep In Mind
Cryptocurrency prices are volatile and can change a lot in a short time. Bitcoin is not a way to make money, so only use money that you can afford to spend on entertainment.
If you use Bitcoin to withdraw, understand that its value will fluctuate. The rand value of what you hold in your wallet can go up or down depending on what the market does on any given day.
Bitcoin is pseudonymous, not anonymous. Transactions are recorded publicly against wallet addresses, and casinos still verify your identity (KYC) before withdrawals. Network fees also apply to Bitcoin transfers, and they can change depending on how busy the network is.
Not every South African casino accepts Bitcoin as a banking method, so pay close attention to which ones do and which ones don’t when deciding where to play.
Play Responsibly
You must be 18 or older to gamble. Set limits you are comfortable with and stick to them. If gambling is becoming a problem, the SA Responsible Gambling Foundation counselling line is available 24/7 on 0800 006 008.
Bitcoin Friendly Casino Slots
While you browse around various online casinos you may come across games developed by BGaming, Booming Games, iSoftBet, Tom Horn and Yggdrasil. All of these suppliers create casino slots that are available at Bitcoin casinos, and some casinos attach specific Bitcoin bonuses to them.
What Are The Advantages?
- Bitcoin gives you another banking option alongside cards and bank methods
- Some casinos offer Bitcoin-specific bonuses
- Withdrawals and transaction processing can be faster than some bank methods
- Some BTC casinos offer provably fair games
- Bitcoin transactions are pseudonymous, which means they are recorded against wallet addresses rather than your name, but casinos still verify your identity
- Some Bitcoin-focused brands have their own software, tools and perks
- You can pay from your own wallet without using a card at the casino
Any Disadvantages?
As we have said, Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as a whole are volatile. Prices can rise sharply, but they can also fall sharply, and they have done so before. What you hold in your wallet is worth a different amount from one day to the next, and it may be lower than you expected.
Network fees apply when you send Bitcoin, and not every casino accepts it. You will also still need to complete identity checks (KYC) before withdrawing.
Closing Thoughts
Bitcoin can be a convenient banking option at online casinos, but it is a payment method, not an investment, and it is not a way to improve your chances of winning.
Because the price moves, the rand value of your deposit or your withdrawn winnings can change between the time you send or receive it and the time you convert it back to rand.
Market movements are easy to watch but hard to predict, so take some time to think through your options and compare the other banking options as well.
If Bitcoin suits the way you like to pay, it can work well, but no outcome is guaranteed. T&Cs apply, 18+ only, and please play within your limits.

Okay so here's my issue, bitcoin is the only way im able to deposit at casino extreme and yabby which is fine except when I want to deposit $20 I buy it in bitcoin but by the time I get to use it to deposit in my account, the fees and everything else taken out while on the block chain only leave me with a little over $16 so im unable to claim any bonuses after I lose since it's not the full $20
Bitcoin worked great as long as it wasn't to cashapp and don't use nc wallet they have locked my account in kyc over 3 months despite me sending my documents
Bitcoin is by far the most convenient and also fastest way to receive withdrawals and to also make deposits as well. It is also one of the most reliable ways to send and receive payments to casinos.
Using Bitcoin for casino transactions offers unmatched privacy and financial independence, as it completely eliminates bank intermediaries. Deposits are processed almost instantly, making it ideal for smooth gameplay. Naturally, players should be aware of fluctuating crypto exchange rates and variable blockchain network fees, but the speed and overall convenience make it a superior solution.
Bitcoin is convenient for casino deposits and withdrawals, and transactions are often fast. The main drawbacks are price volatility, network fees, and occasional delays, but this guide explains the process clearly.
Bitcoin isnt my first choice but its definitely before depositing with a debit or credit card! Using this coin allows for instant withdrawal and deposit on most sites. Once you learn how to send crypto, you'll really start to enjoy online casinos! Crypto for the win!!
Bitcoin in my opinion is the easiest crypto currency to use when you dont know nothing about that world. The only thing I dont really like is how long it takes sometimes to deposit or withdraw. Ive had to wait hours sometimes. I was always scared to do it any other way. One time I used ethereum and my d-@ss chose the wrong network. Never saw those 150 again lol.
Using Bitcoin for deposits and withdrawal is one of the best ways to fund your account. The process is easy ,safe and is readily available across multiple casino's. It is also an easy method to use for withdrawals and there are tons of casino's who have no fee's on bitcoin withdrawals. The fact that it is not connected to any bank if also helpful as you can move your funds around without all the additional costs.
Bitcoin is the best way to fund online gambling due to its unmatched benefits. It offers near-instant processing so you can play immediately. Transactions have low fees compared to traditional banks. Plus, enhanced privacy and security keep your personal financial details completely safe
Bitcoin is by far the best bet for depositing and withdrawing funds from the casino of your choice. The reliability is there and can’t be matched by others. Haven’t had an issue yet and don’t see having any in the future.
I'm going to have to say that I liked depositing in Bitcoins when I first started to play online casino. Main reason I liked it was because some casinos did not require you to have to verify your account meaning they did not ask for you to send in documents in order to verify your account so you didn't have to wait for 3-5 days to go by so that your account could get verified and if you request for a withdraw you could receive it right then. There was no waiting for the whole verification process.
Bitcoin was my first introduction into the world of crypto currency many to years ago. It seemed very confusing at first,, but on the app Coinbase, I took lots of tutorials and read articles, and have a fairly good understanding of this system . At first I only used Bitcoin to make deposits to my online casino accounts , and receive payouts from wins. As I became more experienced, I found the fees associated with Bitcoin to be much too high I switched to Litecoin and haven't used Bitcoin for a while.
Bitcoin is a good way to deposit at online casinos. The fees and minimums are the reason that it does not receive a much higher rating. I like that Bitcoin is anonymous and easy and quick to transfer and receive. Other cryptos are much cheaper to use but also more difficult to obtain and send. All in all Bitcoin is a reliable safe and effective method of banking at online casinos
Slower and slower every time you use it. Use Litecoin or something proven not take 45 minutes.. It seems to only work that way for me when I use it. It's not efficient it's digital crap
Bitcoin is the most convenient way of depositing and withdrawal on online casinos because most casinos use the Bitcoin deposit method nd its mostly used globally
Bitcoin is a good chance for fast withdrawals and is the best crypto used in most of the casinos, however it is some difficult to verify Bitcoin cryptowallet account. I can find this option most for withdrawals than for deposits, and is used for fast transactions. Good luck!
Bitcoin on the lightning network is by far the best possible way to deposit crypto into any casino that accepts such forms of payment it is the absolute fastest cheapest and secure form of transferring crypto that I’ve ever experienced. I would highly recommend using bitcoin on the lightning network, if ever given the change it’s a few cents in order to send. I don’t even know how much. it might be like two cents to every $10 or something crazy like that and it’s the fastest good luck.
Bitcoin isn't digital cash anymore; it has evolved into a digital sovereign reserve asset. It is clunky, expensive to move during peak congestion, and completely unyielding to change. But as a secure, decentralized vault to park capital away from third-party risk, it remains the definitive gold standard of the digital age.
I honestly love seeing affected we were able to deposit them withdraw with Bitcoin or cryptocurrency because it's the fastest way for both deposits and withdrawals and it's no hassle behind it is very convenient
I try to avoid depositing or withdrawing with anything but crypto. It keeps everything very simple and most importantly fast. If you want to save money on your fees LTC is definitely the way to go. Its also extremely fast. Thank goodness it has gotten so much easier to aquire crypto than it used to be. Wow you used to have to really work sometimes to be able to obtain crypto to use. I don't miss those days at all.
Will use if ltc is not an option and prefer bitcoin over Cash App, card or any other deposit options. Mainly because it shows in wallet very quickly and most casinos offer great deposit bonuses when using bitcoin!
Good results on easy payouts plus easy deposit. Payouts usually never take over 20 to 30 mins tops. And easily changed from usd to bitcoin on cashapp if have a cashapp plus lighting deposit and withdrawal is super quick
So what can I say bitcoin is the OG of cryptocurrencies and the most loved and most backed out of all the cryptocurrencies you can see that in bitcoins price. It's a great way to fund your gambling accounts as it is accepted at pretty much any online casino. And it is usually pretty fast to settle when the block chain isn't hella backed up but if you use Bitcoin lightning it is instant so I especially love the update of lightning Bitcoin always will be a favorite of gamblers online.
Bitcoin is hands down my favorite when I want fast and private transactions. Once the network isn't congested, deposits land within minutes and withdrawals are usually processed much faster than with traditional methods. The volatility is the only thing I keep an eye on before sending larger amounts.
By far the most popular method of deposit for online casinos, Bitcoin is sometimes affiliated with slow deposit or withdrawal times and or fees, especially HIGH fees depending on the status of the market at the current time. Despite potential drawbacks usually always effective if done properly.
I have used etc for a handful of deposits in the past, but I am not a fan of the time it takes for transactions to process. along with that, you have the overall price of bitcoin, which limits you if you are making only small purchases at a time.
Paying with Bitcoin is fast and widely supported, with deposits usually hitting your casino balance almost instantly and withdrawals processing much quicker than traditional banking. Fees are generally low, and the added privacy appeals to players who don’t want gambling transactions tied to their bank. The biggest drawback is Bitcoin’s price volatility — your winnings can gain or lose value before you cash out. Overall, it’s a strong choice for speed and convenience, as long as you’re comfortable with the market swings.
bitcoin has always been my 2nd choice behind Litecoin for a method with depositing and for withdrawal purposes on any casino site. It's quick and has little transaction fee's. You cannot go wrong with using Bitcoin on any casino site that it is available on. BITCOIN is also a long trusted crypto with high pricing so buying smaller amounts won't change it much with price volatility
Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency but I don't think it's the best for banking with casinos. A lot of the times, BTC transfers can take over an hour, even if casinos claim it's instant. I prefer the other cryptocurrency options that are a bit quicker, closer to 10 mins including ETH and LTC.
Among my top 3 deposit methods and has only gotten better with time. Fees for buying or selling Bitcoin used to be so high and volatile that I didn't use it much. Fees seem to have level out and begun to match or at least compete with Litecoin which has returned it to my rotation of deposit methods. Doesn't arrive as quickly as Litecoin but the wait time is not long enough to be a deterrent
I enjoy being able to use crypto. Usually other sites make it really really difficult to either add or withdraw using bitcoin. But I've come to find out that through LCB, it is much easier and accessible to use bitcoin and other crypto methods.
Definitely one of the best banking methods and fast withdrawals in the online casino industry. Love the quick crediting of deposits and fast withdrawals at most casino's using this method. Also love the various bet sizes one can use when playing with Bitcoin.
I personally love using cryptocurrency for my casino deposits because it is incredibly fast and secure. Whenever I use Bitcoin or Ethereum, my transactions are processed almost instantly, which allows me to start playing without any delay. I also feel more in control of my money thanks to the transparency of blockchain technology. It has definitely improved my overall gaming experience.
You cannot go wrong with bicoin. As stable as they come and most widely recognized and accepted globally. Only a matter of time before it is as mainstream as the dollar.
So Bitcoin for casino payments.. and honestly it hasn’t been the best experience. Transactions can be quite slow, especially during busy periods, which makes deposits and withdrawals take longer than expected. On top of that, the network fees can get pretty high, making it less cost-effective compared to other options. It works, but not very efficiently. I use it mostly when it's the only method of withdrawal available.
Banking with Bitcoin is on my opinion the only way to go. I’ve been using Bitcoin since I began online gambling and it has always been easy to deposit and withdraw. The downside is sometimes it takes forever on the blockchain. Some casinos allow the deposit while it is still on the blockchain and some wait for confirmation which can take upwards of 45 minutes plus.. Usually it’s only about 20 minutes. Also it is a little more costly because of the fees to buy and withdraw. But it’s much more secure and all of the casinos offer this banking method. You also protect yourself from fraud by using Bitcoin. There was a short time where Bitcoin was way too expensive and it did not make sense to buy it. I used litecoin for that period. Also a couple times it confirmed in the blockchain but the casino hasn’t credited my account and that was a hassle to ho find all the right information to give to live chat. It took forever and a couple times live chat didn’t respond for hours then ended the chat and I’d have to start all over again. prima play consistently takes the longest for bitcoin to post to your account because they make you wait for confirmation on the blockchain.
It seems to me that Bitcoin is the fastest payment currency, It's easy to sell and buy, I think in a few years later the salary will be paid with Bitcoins, It was healthy if that was the case.Even another republic can be given a loan for Bitcoin, now everything is possible.
If it wasn't for bitcoin depositing would be slow. Especially using bitcoin lighting your deposit is there instantly
Two years ago, we only heard about bitcoin, the crypto currency of our regions, and now we use it, it's a good currency, you can quickly make a deposit and withdrawals, and interest is also not bad, so I advise my friends and colleagues, I really liked Bitcoin.
Banking is very good here at casinoextreme I would recommend playing here to anyone I know and don't know for that matter .I give 5 stars. Customer service is excellent and payouts are very very fast my go to casino
BTC has been very solid for me over the years. I would never say anything to bad about BTC. It is the first crypto I started trading with when it seemed like it was the only one. I remember have about 4 btc when it was around 4k. I wish I would of held on to it it probably would be worth 320Kish today.
BTC casinos have always been my favorite. Once I discovered then about 15years ago that became the only casinos I would play on. I always saw on whatever site I was at that if you withdrew with crypto that the WD time was like 5x faster than the check by mail. I remember those days. Getting some crazy looking big check like weeks later in the mail and it would take like 2weeks to clear.
This article does a good job explaining how Bitcoin introduced a new kind of payment system that operates without banks or central control, building on ideas first proposed by Wei Dai. It highlights Bitcoin’s core strengths—privacy, fast global transfers, and low fees—especially in the context of online casinos. At the same time, it subtly shows how crypto has enabled platforms like Stake.com to grow rapidly by offering faster transactions and fewer restrictions compared to traditional systems. Overall, the piece presents Bitcoin as both a technological innovation and a practical financial tool, while also acknowledging that the ecosystem is still evolving.
Bitcoin is not one of my favorites just because I'm impatient and it takes a lil longer to send Bitcoin but it is for sure reliable in my opinion g and that's y I do and didn't like Bitcoin
I don't mind Bitcoin deposits they seem to be fast enough for me and it's just easier than using a credit card I suggest that using cryptocurrency all together is the best way to gamble and easy way to withdraw I've been using crypto now for at least 5 years and have never had a problem getting it stolen or anything like that so I highly recommend it to anybody just getting into the cryptocurrency world. Bitcoin can be a little slower than other cryptocurrencies but it's very safe and secure so keep that in mind too and hope that you enjoy your crypto casinos and sweeps casinos and all the other kinds of like. If you like super fast deposits then Bitcoin lightning is better than the regular Bitcoin but Bitcoin can be a little pricey sometimes but it's very easily accessible.
Bitcoin deposits are a headache. Between the slow network confirmations and unpredictable fees, it’s far from "instant." Plus, the extreme price volatility means your deposit value can tank before you even start using it. Too much hassle for me.
Bitcoin is the answer of many things. I have been involving with bitcoin for some time and still never got disappointment. It's fast, secure, low fee, and no foot prints. Without bitcoin the online casino will not go prosperous as it is.
Bitcoin is safe and secure. But I have had a withdrawal take hours for me to receive it. It's my opinion that Bitcoin isn't the fastest method for making deposits or receiving withdrawals.
I’m generally not a fan of using bitcoin as a transactional currency for gambling, I find it to be more stressful out of old fashioned paranoia from early days. — but really there number of millibits and all the converts gotta be careful with when not sending via app or wallet that allows for dollar denomination, is wildly high a price to pay for a potential fat thumb on a 0 digit missed. Also just the voodoo of it all lol. Much prefer litecoin for online degen play. Cause like… it’s Lite ;) jks but not really but ya
💭 Thoughts on Bitcoin as a Casino Banking Option Hey folks — wanted to drop my two cents on using Bitcoin for casino banking, based on my own experience and what I’ve noticed compared to other methods. I started using Bitcoin a while back because it was the most common crypto option at online casinos, and honestly, it was exciting at first. Sending BTC for deposits felt futuristic, and watching it land in my casino balance in minutes was pretty cool compared to waiting on bank transfers or card deposits. That said, once I started using other cryptos like Litecoin and USDT alongside BTC, I began to notice a few consistent patterns: **Speed:** BTC is reliable, no doubt — but during times of heavy network activity, confirmations can take way longer than I expected. I remember one weekend where I initiated a withdrawal, and what normally would’ve been a quick transfer ended up taking a couple of hours because the network was congested. **Fees:** Bitcoin transaction fees vary a ton depending on network demand. There have been days where my withdrawal fees were noticeably higher than what I’d pay moving LTC or even USDT. That doesn’t matter as much on bigger sums, but when you’re cashing out smaller winnings, it stings a bit. **Security & familiarity:** I’ll say this — Bitcoin still feels like the most trusted and widely accepted option out of all cryptos. It’s almost universal at casinos that accept crypto, so it’s usually my go-to deposit method when I want the simplest route. A few practical takeaways from my experience: - **Check network conditions before withdrawing BTC:** Sometimes waiting for a less busy time can save you fees and speed things up. - **Use a good wallet:** I learned the hard way that a cheap/unknown wallet can be annoying when you’re just trying to get your winnings out. - **Compare options:** If Litecoin, USDT, or even others are available, they sometimes work out better depending on fee/load at the moment. Overall, Bitcoin is solid and dependable — definitely the OG crypto for casino banking — but it’s worth being aware of the trade-offs with fees and speed if you’re switching between BTC and other cryptos. Would love to hear if others still stick with BTC as their default or have moved more toward alternatives based on experience.
