Tombstone RIP – Online Slot By Nolimit City

Tombstone RIP is a gritty Western video slot from Nolimit City with 5 reels, a 2-3-3-3-1 row layout and a theoretical RTP of 94.08%. Extremely high volatility, nudging Wilds and a maximum win of 300,000x your bet make it a game for players who like their risk dialled up.

Before you enter, the game asks whether you really want to go into the town of Tombstone, where life expectancy is scarily short, or back out and play a fruit slot. Everyone in town has the potential to rob you, except those who have already been hanged.

RTP is a theoretical, long-run figure rather than a promise for any one session; see what RTP means. Some games come in more than one RTP version, so check the info screen before you play.

Old Western Theme, Graphics and Sound

Hanged men and women greet you, and the spatter of blood is the only real colour in this dustball of a town. The sun is setting behind the saloon, and wooden buildings line both sides of the grid. An old Western tune plays in the background, as if a pistol duel could kick off the moment the sun goes down, while loud sound effects draw your attention to wherever it needs to be.

The animations are smooth and full of visceral detail, whether it is bodies hanging or hands getting chopped off. If you are squeamish, this one is not for you; if you do not mind blood and violence in your slots, it makes an interesting change of pace.

Symbols and Paytable

Playing card values, 10, J, Q, K and A, are the low-paying icons and appear often. The high-paying images are the cowboys of Tombstone: the male and female sheriffs, plus the wanted posters for Skinny Joe, Edda Star and El Gordo.

Bonus symbols include Wilds, Stacked Wilds, xNudge, xSplit, xRIP and the Scatter. Each activates a special feature depending on how it lands.

Features: Enhanced Bet, xNudge Wilds and Hang Em’ High Spins

• Enhanced Bet: switch it on to pay an extra 10% per spin and get a Scatter on the second reel, which gives you a higher chance of bonus spins.
• xNudge Wilds: these Wilds nudge themselves to cover the whole reel, adding 1 to their multiplier on every nudge until the reel is fully covered.
• Reel Split and xSplit: the reel or certain symbols split when they land, which improves the chance of a payout. Symbols can split in 4 different ways, chosen at random.
• Hang Em’ High free spins: land 3 Scatters to trigger 8 free spins in which every special feature that lands increases the multiplier. Different Scatter and special symbol combinations activate different forms of bonus spins.

Our Verdict

Tombstone RIP is feature-rich and unapologetically grim. The nudging Wilds, splits and multiplier-building free spins give it plenty of variety, but the extremely high volatility and 94.08% RTP mean long dry spells are likely. Set a budget before you ride into town.
