Midnight Marauder – Online Slot By Relax Gaming

Midnight Marauder is a burglar-themed cascading video slot from Relax Gaming with a 6×6 grid, a theoretical RTP of 96.19% and a top win of 30,000x the bet. Winning clusters collapse into multiplying bags, and 3 Scatters start the bonus spins. Read on for the specs, symbols and features.

A thief is breaking into a gem exhibit, and you help him carry off as much as he can. Security is thin, with one camera and a sleeping guard. Relax Gaming makes the criminal charming without him saying a word.

Midnight Marauder Slot Specs

The RTP is a theoretical, long-run figure, so it says nothing certain about any single session. Read more in our guide to RTP and our explainer on volatility.

Theme, Graphics and Sound

The soundtrack balances suspenseful music with goofy, cartoon-like sound effects. The audio cues also tell you what is happening without looking at the screen.

The artwork is good enough to pass for a full animation. The robber never speaks, yet his facial expressions show what he is thinking. On certain wins he sneaks from the getaway vehicle back into the building, the camera swivels and the lights flicker.

Gem Symbols and the Marauder

There are few symbols, so there is little to memorise. Six gems make up the paying symbols: sapphires, emeralds, amethysts, topaz, rubies and diamonds. The diamond is the most valuable.

The marauder himself is the Scatter. Land enough of him in one round and the bonus feature begins.

How Cascades and Multipliers Work

Midnight Marauder is a cascading slot played on a 6×6 grid. Winning clusters need at least 5 matching symbols that touch.

A winning cluster collapses into a single icon that holds the number of symbols collected, and the reels respin with that icon locked in place. It can collect more symbols if a new cluster forms around it. When no new wins can be made, any bags of winning symbols multiply by themselves and pay out.

Bonus Spins and Buy Feature

Landing at least 3 Scatters in one round starts the bonus. Three Scatters give 8 bonus spins, with 2 more for every Scatter above 3. During the bonus, each Scatter that lands awards 1 extra spin.

If you would rather skip the wait, the buy feature triggers the bonus straight away for the price shown in the game.

Our Verdict

Midnight Marauder pairs strong artwork with a cascade mechanic that builds multiplying bags. It is a high-volatility game, so expect uneven sessions. Try it in demo mode first if the casino offers one.
