Theme & Symbols
The general overtone of this title is classic gothic horror. If you’ve played the first one then you know exactly what you’re getting yourself into with this one.
The play grid is held up by two ominous looking pillars with statues extending up past half way of the pillars. These statues have a very grim expression and do a good job warding off any feelings of hope or happiness. Everything about this slot, even down to the buttons at the bottom, is themed which would be great to see if it wasn’t so terrifying.
The graphics and the artwork on display is brilliantly done, which is a bit unfortunate for us considering how creepy it all is.
The visual presentation is, for better or for worse, an improvement over the previous video slot title. Once again Play’n GO is nearly unmatched when it comes to looks.
Starting fairly light with the low-paying symbols we have playing card values that somehow look threatening. You’ll be seeing 10, J, Q, K and A appear on your reels quite often.
Next up are the hard hitting high-paying symbols. These are all things you might expect to find lying around a house such as this one like Bone Daggers, Poisonous looking Flowers, Candles burned down to the stand, and of course a Spiked Skull.
There are four different Wilds present in this game, each with a different theme. There is the Wild of Spirit Unity, the Wild Queen of the Damned, the Wild Metal Priestess and the Wild Fire Mistress. Each has their own unique gameplay feature.
There are also two Scatter symbols in this title. The standard one can substitute for any common icon and the Upgraded Scatter activates a unique gameplay bonus.
Online Betting Options & Features
House of Doom 2: The Crypt is a 5-reel, 3-row video slot game developed by Play’n GO. There are a total of 20 paylines and a RTP of 96.25%.
This game has various different themes that affect which Wild will appear on your reels, which music plays and which bonus feature you can play. The game cycles through themes randomly after a bonus spins feature has completed.
While you play through the base game, there is a special Spirit Gate that can appear on a reel at random. Should a Wild land in this gate, it expands and triggers one re-spin with a bonus feature. Those features are:
- Queen of the Damned Wild: Should this Wild land in the gate it will add a Spirit Gate to every other reel.
- Fire Mistress Wild: If this Wild lands in the gate it will add a random multiplier that can be a x2, x3, x5 or a x10.
- Metal Priestess WIld: Should this Wild land in the gate it will turn all of the Ritual Relic symbols into the Spiked Skull symbols.
Landing 3 scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5 will award you with 8 bonus spins. During either the base game or bonus spins should you land 3 Upgraded Scatters you’ll be given 8 Crypt Spins. In order for Upgraded Scatters to land there needs to be at least one Spirit Gate active on a reel. During these special spins are when the Wild Spirit of Unity is active. Should the Spirit of Unity land in a gate you’ll be awarded with the bonuses of the 3 other Wilds.
So, do you think you have what it takes to enter House of Doom 2: The Crypt?
