Imperial Dragon is a Chinese-themed slot game by software provider Blueprint Gaming. Various Asian themes are pretty much classics in the world of online gambling, and slot machines in particular. Despite this theme being more than common, this developer has managed to add a unique, personal touch to it.

The backdrop is a very fascinating depiction of ancient Chinese rooftops, sometime in the early morning, before the fog has lifted. The design has managed to marry together two distinct styles, the success of which is up to players to judge. Personally, we think it worked out quite well. The peaceful soundtrack in the background is also a nice addition.

Imperial Dragon features a customary layout of 5 reels and 3 rows. There are 20 non-adjustable pay-lines in total, and stakes can range anywhere from 20c up to R100 per spin. Here’s where the style marriage lies: the basic playing card symbols look rather different from the rest of the design.

They feature the symbols from Ace to 10 and picture different crowns, jewels and what looks like a banner. In addition to them, the reels also showcase traditional Asian imagery. Such are, for example, the handheld fan and the gold coins, with a red ribbon passing through them. Following them is a Chinese red lantern and a traditional temple, after which is the majestic dragon statue.
