Halloween Fortune II Video Slot Review

Halloween Fortune II slot game is the sequel to the very successful Halloween Fortune  slot game from Playtech. This game marks a significant step up in quality from many earlier Playtech slots in terms of both graphics and sound. The symbols look fantastic when viewed on a decent display, with bold colours that seem to pop off the screen and silky smooth animation when the reels turn.

Halloween Fortune II Features

There aren’t many features in Halloween Fortune II, with most of the action being confined to the single free spins feature. To trigger the feature you need to land three or more scatter symbols, and these also have a cash prize attached as well. If you are lucky enough to hit all five you will be paid 100x your stake, which drops to just 10x and 5x for four and three respectively.

Unlike the first game, this time around the feature is fixed at ten free spins and cannot be retriggered. You do receive an ascending multiplier which increases after every two spins, finally reaching 5x for the final two. As a bonus, an additional locked wild is added to the centre of the reels for the duration of the feature. If you happen to hit a good win whilst the higher multipliers are active it can be extremely rewarding, but it can be very disappointing if all you see is a row of dead spins.

Payouts

Some of the higher five of a kind combinations pay out much less than other Playtech slots, but overall Halloween Fortune II does seem a little more profitable than the original. Whilst the free spins cannot be retriggered the scatters stay on the reels during the feature and can pay up to 500x your stake. Unfortunately, the maximum jackpot is not stated within the rules or paytable and the RTP is below average at just under 95%.

Summary

It was always going to be tough for Playtech to please everybody when creating a sequel to Halloween Fortune. The end result is a solid machine with decent payout potential, but it could have been even better with a couple more features. Nevertheless, Halloween Fortune II is a high quality release that deserves for everybody to give it a try.
