Release The Kraken 2 – Online Slot By Pragmatic Play

Release The Kraken 2 is an aquatic video slot from Pragmatic Play played on a 5-reel, 4-row grid with 20 fixed paylines and a theoretical RTP of 96.03%. The Kraken is the Wild, golden idols are the Scatters, and the top prize is 5,000x the bet. Here are the specs, symbols and features before you play.

Pragmatic Play has gone back to the deep for a second helping of tentacled terror. The Kraken is a frightening creature, but it has its uses here: it acts as the Wild, and golden effigies of the beast are the Scatter symbols.

RTP is a theoretical, long-run figure that says nothing certain about a single session. Read more in our guide to what RTP means and on slot volatility.

Underwater Theme, Sound and Animation

The game puts you under the crashing waves straight away. The audio creates an aura of nautical mystery, as if you are sailing the seven seas in search of something that might not even be real, and the sound effects add to the immersion. Wins remind you that you are playing an online slot.

The grid itself plays into the underwater theme, as though Poseidon would play on these reels if he had the chance. Pragmatic Play is known for polished animation and fun gameplay mechanics, and this sequel keeps to that style.

Symbols and Paytable

There are around nine symbols in the regular paytable plus two special ones.

• Low-paying icons: the card values 10, J, Q, K and A, covered in barnacles after their time underwater.
• High-paying icons: an electric eel, an angler fish, a puffer fish and a shark. Each animates when it forms a win, and the shark is the highest-paying regular icon.
• Wild: the Kraken substitutes for any other regular icon and can extend existing combinations.
• Scatter: the golden Kraken idol. Three or more on a single spin trigger the bonus feature.

Random Features: Wild Respins, Stacked Wilds and Win Spins

During any spin, one of several features can trigger at random:

• If 4 or more Wilds land at once, then after the payout the reels spin again. The Wilds stay on the grid but move around, and the respins continue as long as more Wilds arrive.
• On reels 2, 3 and 4 a stacked Wild with a multiplier can appear. If it only partly shows on the reel, it nudges fully into view, and each nudge raises the multiplier by 1x.
• A win spin can occur, paying 20x – 60x the bet, and it can even bring 3 Scatters onto the grid.

Bonus Feature, Ante Bet and Buy Option

Landing 3 or more Scatters on one spin triggers the bonus feature. Before the extra spins start, you play a mini-game that decides how many spins you get and which multiplier applies. More Scatters in the trigger mean more bonus spins and higher multipliers.

During the feature the paylines double to 40, Wilds that land stay on the grid and move after each spin, and every Scatter that lands raises the multiplier.

The ante bet option raises your chance of triggering the feature for an extra amount on each spin. If you would rather skip the wait, the buy option triggers the bonus feature immediately for the price displayed.
