Mighty Drums – Online Slot By Realtime Gaming

Mighty Drums is a Chinese-themed video slot from Realtime Gaming with a 5×3 grid, 243 ways to win and low volatility. Four progressive jackpots (Mini, Minor, Major and Grand) are won by revealing three matching gods. Below are the specs, symbols and features, and where to play it.

Luck, wealth and fortune run through the whole game, from the gold and red colours to the four tiers of progressive jackpot. If you have played a slot with this kind of imagery before, you have more or less seen this one too, but it is still fun to play.

Mighty Drums Slot Specs

As with most Realtime Gaming releases, no RTP is published. RTP is a theoretical long-run figure in any case, so read our guide to RTP to see what it does and does not tell you.

Theme, Graphics and Sound

This is a traditional Chinese setting with plenty of gold and red. Very little separates it from other slots with the same imagery, and the lack of background animation makes it less interesting to look at over a long session. The music is soft and fits the theme, and the sound effects on winning spins are fairly generic.

Symbols and Paytable

There are 18 symbols in total, split between paying symbols and special symbols that boost the gameplay.

• Low-paying: the card values 9, 10, J, Q, K and A. All of them pay the same, so it does not matter which one forms the win.
• High-paying: a Headpiece, a Ship, a Frog, a Pair of Koi Fish and a Dragon. The Dragon is the highest-paying common icon.
• Wild: the gold and red symbol substitutes for any other common icon and can only appear on reels 2, 3 and 4.
• Scatter: the Mighty Drum. At least three landing at once award a payout.
• Multiplier Wild: the Lucky Coins symbol, which can only appear on reel 3.

Grid, Ways and Bets

The game is played on 5 reels and 3 rows with 243 ways to win. The coin value runs from 0.01 to 0.1 coins, and the volatility is low.

Bonus Spins, Jackpots and Golden Symbols

Hitting 3 Scatters from left to right in a single spin awards 12 bonus spins. The low-paying symbols do not appear during the bonus round, and the bonus spins can be retriggered.

When the Jackpot Pick feature triggers, 12 gold coins appear on the grid. Clicking a coin reveals one of 4 gods, each representing a jackpot tier. The first 3 identical gods you reveal award their jackpot: Mini, Minor, Major or Grand.

Four of the five high-paying symbols have golden variants, which you can switch on or off in the panel to the right of the grid. The more golden symbols in play, the more jackpots are in play, along with other perks. Switching them on also raises your current bet level.

Our Verdict

Mighty Drums is a solid, low-volatility option for players who like a traditional Chinese theme and the chance at four progressive jackpots. It will not win prizes for originality, but the jackpot pick and golden symbols give it enough to keep things interesting.
