Teller Of Tales – Online Slot By Skywind Group

Teller of Tales is a storybook video slot from Skywind Group with a 6-reel, 4-row grid, 4,096 ways to win and a 96.50% theoretical RTP. Its bonus counts chapters instead of spins, and a narrator comments on your play.

Instead of telling you how many bonus spins you have, this game gives you a set number of chapters to get through. A storyteller sits with a book on his lap, and magical lights rise from its pages as the words come together to form a work of art.

Teller of Tales Specs

RTP is a theoretical, long-run figure that says nothing certain about a single session. Read more in our explainer on what RTP means.

Theme, Narrator and Sound

The storyteller narrates quite a bit of the game. When you read the rules, switch on an option, land a win, trigger the bonus or leave the game idle, he has something to say. It makes every action feel scripted in the book.

The music and sound effects have a laid-back feel, and even the anticipation effects are not over the top. If you want something relaxed, this is a good fit. Skywind Group has been experimenting with narrators in its games, and this slot shows how that works.

Symbols and Paytable

The low-paying icons are the playing card values 10, J, Q, K and A, with the A paying the most of the group. The high-paying images are wine in a decanter, a hat and gloves, a candle holder, paper and a quill, and the storyteller himself, who is worth the most.

The fireplace is the Wild and substitutes for any other common icon. The book is the Scatter, and landing enough of them in the base game triggers the bonus.

How Wins Work

Wins form from 3 or more matching symbols in any position on adjacent reels, which gives 4,096 ways to win on the 6×4 grid.

Features and Bonus Chapters

• Random multiplier: when the teller turns the pages, a random multiplier of up to x5 can be added to the current spin.
• Scatter re-spin: with only 2 Scatters on a spin, you get a re-spin in which those Scatters turn into Wilds and stay in place.
• Chapter bonus: 3 or more Scatters trigger the bonus, which always starts with 5 chapters. The multiplier depends on the Scatters that landed: 3, 4, 5 or 6 Scatters give x1, x2, x3 or x5. Random multipliers can be added to it as well. During the bonus Scatters land only on reel 6, and each one moves you up a chapter. Once you reach chapter 5, the bonus ends.
• Buy option: you can buy the bonus at any time for the price listed, which depends on your bet.
• Double Chance: toggle it on or off whenever you like. When on, it doubles the chance of triggering the bonus and raises the cost of each spin.

Our Verdict

Teller of Tales is a relaxed, narrated slot whose chapter-based bonus is a little different from the usual free spins. It suits players who like story themes and are comfortable with high volatility.
