Gravity Bonanza – Online Slot By Pragmatic Play

Gravity Bonanza is a space-themed cluster slot from Pragmatic Play with a 7×7 grid, a theoretical RTP of 96.09% and a top prize of 10,000x the bet. Cascades clear winning clusters, and a Black Hole feature sucks symbols off the grid to build the Gravity Bonus. Read on for the specs, symbols and bonus rounds.

Gravity Bonanza Specs

The RTP is a theoretical, long-run figure, so it says nothing certain about a single session. For more, read what RTP means.

Space Theme and Graphics

The game commits fully to its space setting. A little astronaut hovers to the right of the grid, asteroids and comets drift across the screen and other parts of the game bob up and down in low gravity.

The symbols are colourful and have their own animations when they form a winning cluster, and the Black Hole plays out a spectacular motion whenever it hits the grid. It is a game that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Symbols: Black Hole, Flying Saucer and Celestial Bodies

The Flying Saucer is the Bonus symbol. It can land on any reel, and three or more of them trigger the bonus feature.

The Black Hole symbol can also appear on any reel. It sucks in every instance of one randomly selected common icon, removing them from the grid so new symbols can fall in. At the end of the feature, the Gravity Bonus pays out the value of all the symbols the Black Hole absorbed.

The other symbols in the paytable are celestial bodies, some of them resembling food: a Moon with a Ring, a Green Sphere, a Sushi Roll Comet, a Star, an Asteroid, a Burger Planet and a Crescent Moon.

How Gravity Bonanza Plays: Clusters and Cascades

The game is played on a 7×7 grid. Wins come from clusters of at least 5 matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically, and the volatility is very high.

When a winning cluster lands, its symbols disappear and new icons drop in to replace them. These cascades continue until no new win can form.

Bonus Spins and the Black Hole Multiplier

Landing 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 Bonus symbols in a single drop awards 10, 15, 20, 30 or 50 bonus spins respectively. During the bonus spins, the Black Hole feature can activate with a multiplier of x2 to x10, which applies to the payout of the Gravity Bonus. The feature can be retriggered.

There is also a bonus buy. Click the “Buy Free Spins” button to trigger the feature straight away for a multiple of your current bet. Check the game’s info screen for the cost before you buy.

The game is available to try for fun in a free demo, which is a good way to get a feel for the space theme before you play for real.

Our Verdict

Gravity Bonanza suits players who like cascading cluster wins and don’t mind very high volatility. The Black Hole multiplier in the bonus spins is where the big results come from, with a ceiling of 10,000x the bet.
