Atop The Gods Perch
The gods of Ancient Greece gaze down upon the mortal world from atop Mount Olympus. They have their own society high in the sky and from up top, they see all. In this rendition of Mount Olympus from Play’n GO, there isn’t too much that’s going on.
Smoke slowly rises and dissipates from the six braziers that follow along the stairway to the main godly construction. Sparks and embers also emanate from these braziers that follow the wind, creating a very nice effect that plays on either side of the grid. A few birds fly freely across the sacred space, giving the title some semblance of life.
The sounds of the reels spinning and then coming to a halt make them seem enormous. There is a weight behind them that can only be moved with the use of chains. The music is relaxed, there are some vocals which fit the theme very well. Ultimately though, if you’d prefer the audio off, you can mute the game at any point.
While this game has been presented beautifully, we have seen better from Play’n GO in the past. If you are a fan of the previous title or are someone that thoroughly enjoys Greek mythology, you should try this game out for fun.
Ancient Architecture
As you spin the reels of this title, you’ll hopefully be visited by all twelve symbols that are in the game. Ten of them are common icons and are used to build winning combinations, the other two are infused with godly power and will enhance your gameplay experience should they appear.
We’ll begin with the low-paying images. These are all represented by playing card values that have been carved out of stone and have been finely decorated. Expect to see 10, J, Q, K, and A appearing on the reels fairly frequently.
Next, we have the high-paying symbols. Represented by a Scroll, an Incense Jar, a Legionnaire Helmet, a Pegasus, and Athena herself, these are the symbols that you’ll want landing on the grid and forming winning combinations.
A silver and gold coin with a “W” in the center is the Wild of this title. The Wild, should it appear on the grid, will substitute for any common icon in the game, allowing new combos to be created or extend already existing ones. Wild will appear with a multiplier that can range from x1 – x4.
Finally, we come to the Scatter. Represented by a white owl, should at least three of these appear on the grid during a single spin of the reels, the bonus spins gameplay feature will trigger.
