Mystery Kingdom: Mystery Bells – Online Slot By Wazdan

Mystery Kingdom: Mystery Bells is a horror-themed video slot from Wazdan on a 4×3 grid with a theoretical RTP of 96.13%. It has progressive jackpot coins and a respin bonus, and the maximum win is 750x the bet. Here are the specs, symbols and bonus rules before you play.

Head into the haunted castle on the hill, battle the bats and ring the bells. It can be frustrating, because conditions need to be just right, but it can also be a thrilling and chilling ride.

RTP is a theoretical long-run figure, not a promise for any single session. Read our explainer on what RTP means. You can also switch between low, medium and high volatility with one click.

Theme, Graphics and Sound

The castle of the Mystery Kingdom sits atop a hill in the gloomy light of late evening. Abandoned swords and human skulls show that others have tried to enter before you, and piercing red eyes watch from the tree overhead. Bats with spooky faces fly everywhere, and you will hear their squeaks more often than you might like.

The ambient sounds of the forest can be a little unnerving. If you play with headphones on, you might want to take them off now and then to check that the noises are really coming from the game. The atmosphere is well done, and fans of horror slots should enjoy it.

Symbols and How the Game Works

This slot works differently from most. There are nine symbols, and there are no winning combinations that land. Instead, the aim is to fill the centre row with these symbols to trigger the bonus feature.

• Gold Coin: lands with a random value that is a multiple of your current bet.
• Red Coin (Cash Infinity): stays on the grid until the bonus feature is triggered, with a value of x5 to x10 your bet.
• Progressive Jackpot Coins: four of them, tiered as Mini, Minor, Major and Grand.
• Mystery Symbol: reveals a random bonus symbol, except the Cash Infinity symbol, if the bonus is triggered.
• Jackpot Mystery Symbol: reveals a random Mini, Minor or Major jackpot.
• Collector Treasure Chest: collects the value of all symbols on screen at the end of the bonus, multiplies it by a random number and pays it out with the rest.

The grid has 4 reels and 3 rows but only 1 payline, which is where the frustration can come from. Each tile spins independently of the others.

Bonus Feature and Buy Option

Landing 4 bonus symbols on the centre row starts the bonus. Before the bonus spins, you click a Mystery Bell, which reveals either a jackpot win or nothing.

When the feature begins, all symbols on the grid become sticky and stay. You get 3 re-spins, and landing a new bonus symbol resets them to 3. Filling the grid with 12 bonus symbols of any kind awards the 750x win.

If you do not want to wait, the buy feature lets you choose which combination of bonus symbols makes up the winning line. Each combination has its own displayed price.

Our Verdict

This slot will not suit everyone. It takes patience and a willingness to chase a single bonus line, though the horror atmosphere and jackpot tiers are well done. We suggest trying it in a fun account first to get used to the mechanics.
