Billionaire entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson, the founder of the Virgin Group, is due to launch his legal, real money online gambling platform in New Jersey, USA, this week after teaming up with Gamesys and the Tropicana Atlantic City Casino and Resort. After being one of 15 gambling websites to be approved to offer online gambling in New Jersey after internet gambling legislation was passed in the state, Virgin Casino decided to delay its launch in order to iron out several geo-location issues before going live with its platform. Lee Fenton, the Chief Operating Officer of Gamesys, explained that their decision to hold off on the site’s launch was because they wished to refine the experience and ensure that it was as good as it could possibly be for the customer. Richard Branson added that they are hoping to provide players in New Jersey with a globally leading, fun, safe and rewarding online gambling experience. The Virgin Casino platform will offer players in New Jersey in excess of 30 different casino games, including roulette, blackjack, Pai Gow poker and slots when it officially enters the New Jersey market on Friday, 24th February, 2014. Branson’s website is in the process of pushing a community jackpot promotion that will see players who are logged into the site whenever a jackpot is hit with up to $20,000.
