NetEnt Powered Casinos in South Africa
When you think of quality and entertainment in the online casino industry, NetEnt
is always one of the first companies to come to mind. They opened up shop in 1996, making them one of the original software developers for online casino sites, but they didn’t really hit their stride until around 2009 to 2011.
Their work was a major part of changing the face of software and game quality in this industry, and their titles are consistently regarded as setting the standard for what great games look like and play like, especially where online slots are concerned, but their table games show the same level of quality as well.
Awards and Accolades
The eGaming Review Awards and International Gaming Awards are two of the biggest awards ceremonies, if not the two most important, in the industry, and Net Entertainment has completely dominated both of them. In 2015, they won the Slots Provider and Supplier Product of the Year award at the International Gaming Awards, and this was for both online and land-based games. Then at the 2015 edition of the eGR (eGaming Review B2B) Awards, they scored three awards: Innovation in Mobile, Top Slot Provider and top Mobile Supplier. This was the third year in a row that they won the top Mobile Supplier award.
Most recently, at the time of this writing, they’ve taken down awards in 2016 as well. They scored Slots Provider of the Year at the International Gaming Awards for the second year in a row. They also picked up the Casino Solutions Provider of the Year award at the 2016 Gaming Intelligence Awards, and this was after scoring Casino Content Provider of the Year at the eGR Nordic Awards and the Best Software Experience award from Casinomeister.
NetEnt is a good example of a company who has won so many awards that it would be difficult to get them all onto a list without missing any, and even if you did, it would be hard to get anyone to read them all because the list would be so ridiculously long.
Net Entertainment was largely responsible for a complete shift in how the online slots world was viewed that culminated around 2010. Prior to this point, quantity was king, and the software providers with the most games were the most popular. NetEnt showed that by providing ultra-high-quality slots and other types of games, they could pull a significant portion of the market and take on the “old guard” of companies like Microgaming and Playtech, who had dominated the industry largely based on the number of games that they had to offer.
This company is one of the most popular in the world, and one of the reasons for that is that they don’t only look for exclusive content providing contracts with operators. They have no problem working with operators who want to provide their players with games from multiple software developers, and this approach has seen their games show up in a large percentage of the top online casinos running right now.
