Cluster pays count connected groups, rather than fixed paylines. In this illustration, five matching symbols must touch horizontally or vertically. These five diamonds form one connected group. The example paytable awards two rand. This extra diamond touches only at a corner, so it does not join the group. Five scattered diamonds would not qualify just because there are five on screen.
