Sticky and expanding wilds do different jobs. A sticky wild stays in its position for the spins or feature specified by the rules. Here, the centre wild remains while the other symbols change on the next feature spin. An expanding wild grows from its original position. In this example, it covers the whole reel. Expansion alone does not mean it stays for the next spin. Some games combine both features. Check duration, expansion conditions and which symbols the wild replaces. Neither feature guarantees a win.
