Total Girl Power

Loading into the game you’ll notice that the background is fairly bland, being a single color that gets lighter the closer to the bottom of the screen it gets. There is a reason for this, on the left of the grid is the current magical girl that is assisting you. The background color reflects which girl is currently near the grid and so it changes up quite often.

The aesthetic of this title is very reminiscent of a cartoon show called ‘Sailor Moon’. The look and feel of the game seem like it was lifted from either the late 80s or early 90s era of anime animation. 

The audio design is great. Even if the reels are dropping, the music might not be picking up in intensity. The music only kicks in when a win happens, then the beat revs up filling the atmosphere with excitement. Should no win happen after a while, eventually the music will die back down.

Graphics and animations are crisp and smooth. When the girls power up and move about the motion is fluid making it seem real. Care was taken to make sure that little details were added to this game so that those who pay close attention to the symbols will notice little extras.

Not too much has changed visually with this title so it looks pretty similar to Moon Princess. If you’re a fan of that title then you’ll be a fan of this one as well. Beyond that, the grid set-up and the user interface is still very much what you’d expect from a Play’n GO slot.

Hearts, Stars, And Storms

Going over the low-paying icons first we have moons, stars, hearts, and bells. All four of these icons are detailed and will appear on the grid quite often so expect to see them. The heart and the bell are worth the same value and they are the highest paying for this bunch of icons.

Next, we have the high-paying images. These are represented by the girls themselves. All three of them are worth the same value and a win can be formed with any three or more girl icons though the payout will be less than if it was three or more matching girl symbols.

A full moon symbol is the Wild for this title. Wilds will substitute for any other common icon in the game, allowing for bigger combos to form or for entirely new ones to be created. Wilds can be created on random winning symbol matches.

Bets can range from between 0.20 – 100 coins per drop with the highest possible win being 15,000x the bet. The volatility for this release has been rated as being high.

The Magic Within

This cascading video slot has a bit of a twist. Landing winning combinations will cause the matching symbols to disappear but no new icons will fall in to take their place. Instead, if you’re able to clear the entire board, you will be awarded 50x the total bet.

Randomly, on non-winning drops, one of three features could activate:

• Love: Convert 1 set of symbols.
• Star: Add between 1 – 2 Wilds to the grid.
• Storm: Removes 2 sets of symbols.

To the left of the grid is a power-up meter. This meter is filled by collecting trinity symbols when they are part of a win. Collecting 3, 4, and/or 5 symbols will fill up 1, 2, and/or 3 segments of the meter respectively. When the meter is filled entirely, a bonus spin triggers where all 3 powers activate in sequence. Clearing the board during this mode will trigger bonus spins.

During bonus spins, the ever-present multiplier doesn’t reset. You can also fill the meter again to gain additional spins up to a maximum of 100.
