Playtech Appoints Stewart-Jones as Deputy Chairman

Playtech, the international designer, developer and licensor of software and services for the online, mobile and land-based gaming industry, has announced that it has appointed Hilary Stewart-Jones as its new Deputy Chairman, with immediate effect. Since first being appointed to the Playtech board in October, 2013, Stewart-Jones has served as a non-executive director of the company. Playtech’s new Deputy Chairman is a qualified solicitor who previously served as head of Ladbroke’s in-house gambling division prior to joining law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner as a partner during 2000. In 2011 she joined DLA Piper where she remained as a consultant to the company until May this year. Alan Jackson, a non-executive Chairman of Playtech, said that Hilary has made a considerable contribution to the company’s board since her appointment due to her considerable knowledge of the gambling industry. He added that he is delighted that Hilary has agreed to become his deputy. Several leading online casinos are powered by software from Playtech including Winner Casino, Casino.com, City Club Casino, Slots Heaven Casino and Bet365 Casino. Playtech was launched in 1999 and is currently listed on the London Stock Exchange. The company employs more than 3,700 people who are located in twelve countries.
